Mission to Seafarers Victoria (MtSV) is now calling for submissions for its 10th Annual Maritime Art Prize & Exhibition.
Artists are invited to produce works that explore “The Relationship Between Humanity and the Sea” in our 10th annual art prize, Australia’s most prestigious maritime art prize and exhibition.
The awards include a $15,000 first prize award, $5,000 Emerging Artist Award, and $5,000 Best in Traditional Maritime Art Award.
The judging panel consists of Warwick Andrews, founding member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists, Dr Jane Deeth, curator, gallery director and art educator and Rear Admiral James Goldrick, AM, CSC, senior officer of the Royal Australian Navy, author and naval historian.
All finalists are invited to participate in the touring program for the exhibition.
Entries close 31 August 2012.
